People who stand up for others despite adversity

Vem är du som person?

I strongly believe in community and in the power of people when we work together. I am passionate, determined, and unafraid to stand up for what I believe in. For me, politics is about people’s everyday lives, about security, dignity, and the opportunity to live a good life regardless of background or financial means.

Vilka erfarenheter har format ditt politiska engagemang?

My commitment stems from my experience in organizing and the knowledge that we can make a difference together. Through my work and as a parent, I have seen how easily people fall through the cracks when society turns its back on them, but also the strength that emerges when people receive support and security. This has convinced me that politics must be about making a real difference in people’s lives.

Varför valde du Vänsterpartiet?

I chose the Left Party because we will never accept that people are left behind. For me, solidarity is something practical and concrete: the right to security, housing, healthcare, culture, and a life of dignity. I also appreciate that the Left Party dares to talk about power and economic disparities in a society where the gaps are widening.

Vad vill du förändra i Västerås?

I think we’re on the right track in Västerås, thanks in no small part to our strong community organizations and civil society. But we need to do more to ensure that people feel safe, optimistic about the future, and that they belong—no matter where they live. I want to see more adults in schools, stronger social support, more affordable housing, and a cultural life that is open to everyone.

Vad vill du säga till västeråsarna?

I truly love this city, and what gives me the most hope are the people who live here. All the community groups, small business owners, passionate advocates, and volunteers who keep Västerås together even when times are tough. I believe in a Västerås where we continue to look out for one another and build a community where no one should feel alone or forgotten.
