Vem är du som person?

Straightforward, humorous, and very curious. I work with co-occurring conditions involving complex mental health issues and substance abuse/addiction, with a focus on psychotic disorders—but I have also worked in amateur theater and elder care.

Vilka erfarenheter har format ditt politiska engagemang?

My father’s political involvement in the labor movement and his personal commitment to refugees in Sura in the 1970s form the foundation of my own political views. The refugees who arrived in Sweden in 2014 sparked my political involvement in the Left Party.

Varför valde du Vänsterpartiet?

Because the Left Party’s policies ultimately benefit everyone, not just a select few. Concrete policies that are both empathetic and tough.

Vad vill du förändra i Västerås?

I want to bridge the gap between citizens and local politics. For example, by building on the connections that already exist through youth dialogues, citizen service centers, community dialogues, and community center associations. Politicians shouldn’t just ask questions; they should also provide answers and be accountable.

Vad vill du säga till västeråsarna?

Stand up for what you believe is right. Develop an understanding of the democratic process. Improving and planning for everyone who lives in a municipality—and those who will live there in the future—requires patience and clear priorities.
