5. Daniela Wirén

I am an empathetic aesthete with a strong sense of justice.

My political involvement has been shaped largely by my background in culture and adult education. Since 2013, I have played in various bands and organized cultural events at ABF, and for four years I also worked there as a program developer. Through these experiences, I have seen how important it is to have places where people can meet, create, and grow together, regardless of their financial situation or background.

While studying in the U.S., I saw firsthand how wide class divides and unequal living conditions affect people’s daily lives. This made me even more convinced of the importance of a strong welfare system and collective solutions, so that people’s opportunities in life are not determined by the size of their wallet.

I chose the Left Party because I want to help build a society characterized by compassion, equality, and solidarity, where people have the opportunity to grow and develop. I feel that this is what we are doing together in the Left Party.

I want to help build a more equitable Västerås, where more people have the opportunity to feel secure, optimistic about the future, and included. For me, it’s about reducing inequality through a strong welfare system, better opportunities for children and young people, and a society where culture, leisure, education, and work are accessible to more people. I want politics to make a tangible difference in people’s everyday lives.
